Litchfield Hills Eye Physicians, originally founded by Ronald Berger, M.D. in 1976, has been serving the eye care needs of patients in greater Northwest Connecticut for the past 48 years.  Litchfield Hills Eye Physicians has maintained a strong commitment to patient care excellence by providing personalized clinical eye care that puts the needs of the patient first.  

Litchfield Hills Eye Physicians, consisting of Daniel Kessler, M.D. and Ned Howard, M.D., serve the medical and surgical eye care needs of its patients.  All of its physicians are Board Certified Eye Physicians and Surgeons.  Litchfield Hills Eye Physicians provides general eye examinations for eyeglasses and contact lenses along with specializing in cataract surgery, lens implants, dry eye treatment, emergent eye care, and the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.

Dr.’s Kessler and Howard strive to provide thorough eye examinations, consultations, and explanations for each and every patient visit in order to be sure that all patients have a clear understanding of their condition and their treatment options.  This enables patients to make informed decisions about their eye care.  If a patient should require cataract surgery or laser surgery for glaucoma or diabetic eye disease, it is conveniently performed locally at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.  Charlotte Hungerford’s skilled nursing staff and state of the art equipment help make cataract surgery a safe and pleasant experience.
